5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT NIGERIAN WEDDINGS

8:10 am

Me as a bridesmaid

I have attended a lot of weddings in Nigeria  and I can't help but tell you all "I LOVE SOMETHINGS ABOUT NIGERIAN WEDDINGS". Yes I said it.  In as much as I wrote 5 THINGS I WISH COULD CHANGE ABOUT NAIJA WEDDINGS .  I still love our weddings a lot. Let me share with you all the things I love.

(Weekly giveaway: The 15th person who comments with email address wins airtime)

 1. JOLLOF RICE.  Fried rice is my favorite food, but it is usually not an option in a Nigerian wedding. Some parties have been upping the fried rice game though.
JOLLOF RICE is always the real MVP lol.  Any Nigerian wedding where JOLLOF is not served, check well.  You might be in the wrong place. From the smell to the taste, the JOLLOF rice just tastes different in a party. I wonder the spice they always use the taste and aroma is definitely different.

 2. ASO-EBI.  Aso-ebi can be annoying, overrated and expensive when you are involved in the aso-ebi sometimes. But, it surely adds color to the day. The area i love is the joy of seeing new styles and pretty ladies with dramatic makeup.
Busy body aunties with their map of Nigeria head gears.

 3. THE MUSIC. Nigerian music in weddings are always on point. I just love the bride and groom entrance. Some people have gone the extra length of doing dramatic entrances.   All the same, good music makes the heart merry. Lol.

 4. THE SPRAYING OF MONEY.  Couples use this spraying of money to make a lot of money. In Nigeria people love to show off and the couples dance is when you know all the top shots in the wedding. Some couples provide change (smaller denominations)  for guests so no one will have no excuse not to spray.

So let's know the things you love about Nigerian weddings.
Have a blessed week loves.

  4. Some people are too greedy. They keep requesting for extra plates of food even when others haven't gotten. Some are in the habit of packing food home sef. Ladies are so so guilty of this act.

  17. My daughter was married here and all our guests said that this is one of the most amazing venues for weddings in Los Angeles they've ever been too. I love the dark wood, the beamed ceilings, and the overall sort of great vibe of the building.
