DO EVERYTHING WITHOUT COMPLAINING

Scripture for today

Philippians 2:14 AMP
Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves].

For the past few weeks I realized I complained and grumbled a lot.  Everything around me just seemed to be going haywire. I was getting irritated over almost everything, I was just complaining to God and to people about everything. Starting with my job. You know friends, I have always been this person who loves to have my time. I love writing on my blog, I love making videos, I love talking about relationships and my love for God but these days I felt because of my job taking most of my time I am not doing God's will properly. At a point I started getting angry when I see friends post up very interesting posts and I just get to struggle through posting a devotional daily.

You know friends, at some point I wanted to just quit my job. I felt it was time to move on, but God said NO.  I just would complain with colleagues and friends not realizing the negative seeds I was planting. During my period of grumbling and complaining, I  realized I prayed less. I get exhausted worrying and complaining and words just won't flow. God had me check my attitude, because he know just where he has kept me and knows it's best for me. See, I believe my job is me walking in purpose but the road isn't easy. Once I stopped complaining, I had a better attitude and the road got easier.

Complaining and grumbling takes away the joy and the peace you should have been feeling through life. It steals away the sweetness that comes with enduring difficult times. It steals away the whole essence of working with God.  God doesn't like us complaining, he just needs us to have a good attitude through it all.

Prayer: Father, forgive me for complaining and grumbling.
