WORRY CAN'T CHANGE ANYTHING

Scripture for Today

Matt 6:27 "Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?" (KJV)

We complain each time about things we do not have; but we keep to forget the many other things God has given us. We complain about food, clothes, shelter and so many other things. We forget he gave us health, he gave us love, he gave us abundant joy and so many other good things.

I have come to terms with a singular fact 'my worry can not change the  situation' - Matt 6:28. What worry and complain does is that it shuts our heart from seeing God already at work in our situation, magnifying the circumstances beyond God in our hearts.

I hear someone say,  but what about "critical thinking" is it also being unthankful too? Well as our Bible passage for today indicates,  if you critically think about a problem you have no control over you simply would critically think yourself into health problems. God even asks us a very simple question, who takes care of the fowls of the air?  Who clothes the flowers? Who takes care of the sheep in the mountains?

This same God who takes care of things that are here today and tomorrow they are gone is ever here to take care of you and me. Why don't we just thank him for all the things he has done and hand over other things to him. God is faithful and just he is ever ready to provide.

Prayer: Father, I repent of my sins of worrying. I hand every situation that seems impossible over to you.
