DO YOU FEEL ABANDONED BY GOD?

LOVE LETTERS|DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SINGLES|DAY 203

Scripture for today

Mark 4:35, 37 AMP

On that same day [when] evening had come, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side [of the lake]. And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.

Has God ever instructed you to do something and it seems like he abandoned you half way through it? I was reflecting on the so many issues in the families all around and I was wondering, how come the devil fights families a whole lot? God instituted it but sometimes it seems like he has left us to face our storms alone. The purpose of this love letter today is to remind you that you are not abandoned even though you may feel you are. God doesn't deal with abandoned projects he is actively involved in your welfare. God has told you it's time to start a new business, quit your job and move to another field but it seems the minute you stepped out, he took off!!

Does God really take off? It's just a season people, that middle point in your life. It's a defining moment for you if you will trust him enough. I call it the testing point. It could be filled with overwhelming issues of life which seem to be in an endless circle almost all year round but that doesn't mean you are abandoned. God is teaching us to trust him even when it seems like he is silent. We need to grow in our confidence in God, believing in Him. We need to conquer our fears and our what ifs. God needs us to trust him that once he says a thing he keeps to his words. He is unchangeable.

Prayer: Father, forgive me for times I thought you had abandoned me. I trust you Lord.
