Scripture for Today

Matthew 25:14-15 AMP

For it is like a man who was about to take a long journey, and he called his servants together and entrusted them with his property. To one he gave five talents [probably about $5,000], to another two, to another one–to each in proportion to his own personal ability. Then he departed and left the country.

A man who was traveling entrusted his servants with various talents and gifts. This man is likened to God. Talents and gifts from God has been given to everyone of us, we all have what it takes to be custodians of a gift or talent which is heavenly given. Just like the three servants some of us invest ours while some of us are too afraid and not willing to put in what we have been given to work for us. Hence,  we have people who are miserably frustrated, they wish they had done just everything they wanted to do but it may seem too late, well with God it's never too late.

You know that assignment God has laid in your heart but because of fear you have decided it is better hidden than be used. We need to walk away from the fear of being castigated and laughed at, we should not be afraid of people judging us or seeing us as people with negative intentions. Nobody is to be blamed for your inability to use your God given abilities. You are the one God trusts enough to use what he has given you nobody else can do it better than you so, arise from the shame and reproach. Use what you have to do what you have to do.

Prayer: Father, I repent of my sins of misuse. Help me use the gifts and talents you have given to me.
